2011 Broadmoor Pumkin Carving and Best Decorated House Contest

Broadmoor HalloweenFor those interested in participating in the annual Broadmoor pumpkin carving contest entry forms can be picked up at the front and back gates. Each participant must fill out an entry form and make sure to drop it off at the guardhouse by noon on the 30th. Judging begins at dusk on the 30th. Make sure your porches and walkways are well lit in order to help the judges. If you are over the age of twelve make sure to place your name next to your entry/pumpkin. NO STENCILED PUMKINS.

There’s also a contest for the best decorated house. The entry form for the pumpkin carving contest and best decorated house are the same. For those interested in competing for the best decorated house you better get going if you have yet to start, driving through the neighborhood it’s apparent that there’s some stiff competition.

Prizes for both contests will be delivered to the winners residences.

For all those competing good luck and Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Around Broadmoor

Broadmoor HalloweenAs most Broadmoor residents know there is little reason to go beyond the gates to have fun trick or treating.  Most Broadmoor residents take the Halloween holiday seriously and the Broadmoor kids benefit from it.  But if you are thinking about venturing out there are a couple local options to consider.  Saturday there is a Halloween Carnival at St. Therese in Madrona, on Sunday there is a Halloween costume contest and trick or treating in the Madrona Business District, and Monday there is either trick or treating in the Madison Park Business District or if you want to head out the back gate then U Village is also having trick or treating.
